My old nose and ear trimmer died recently, and I bought this Phillips to replace it. I was surprised, but pleased, that it came with three interchangeable heads. A trimmer, and two classic nose and ear hair trimmers. Based upon my experience I recommend it.

SO, Yes, I like NORELCO. And I am satisfied, so far but with A BIG EXCEPTION (at the end) It’s a solid little man-scaping helper. The older I get, the MORE HAIR appears from ridiculous places. If you’re like me, you have a drawer full of CRAP you collected for personal hair stuff that have dulled, injured, or finally died.

Don’t be Sucker’d-IN by those flashy new hip “Men’s Clubs.” More disappointments, expect failure, or even RASH and injuries.
YES – of course you expect any to be VERY SHARP, but don’t trust ANY without a careful trial around your precious “BOYS.” First use, NO close-cutting pressure (or pay the price later.) Then wait 24 for signs of irritation. Sadly, there is NO SOLUTION, a new crop WILL return … for the rest of your life. Lol
SO, 5 STAR? Nope. CAN’T.
3 STAR. BEWARE: NORELCO DOES “NOT” include the promised “REPLACEABLE LITHIUM BATTERY” as it specifies on AMAZON. Just includes another FAILING ALKALINE AA. I’m really disappointed that NORELCO would mislead a shopper with something this important. NOT HAPPY. BECAUSE I’ve learned that Battery PERFORMANCE is EVERYTHING in a sharp tool . Alkaline energy voltage begins decline from the very first use. LITHIUM maintains a majority of its voltage (and performance muscle) to it’s time of minimum discharge (cutoff) and needs another REFILL CHARGE for HUNDREDS OF ADDITIONAL FULL POWER recharges, (and not the landfill).
I’m not just whining, it’s a BIG DEAL TO ME. I have a TOUGH MAN-CROP, and routine cutting of my curse needs solid power. Declining battery power leads to pulling, pinching, or worse. You may not even realize it until you’re bleeding. DAMMIT!
Let’s hope NORELCO will STEP UP and maintain it’s famous BRAND CRED and REPUTATION for HERITAGE QUALITY. (**The marketing dept. didn’t just make up the battery tech specs, so … just sayin’…)

I am giving it 5 stars because I gave it to my husband for nose and ears and have seen trimming results but haven’t heard any word about the trimmer itself
To me with a husband in his 70’s that means a winning product!

I bought this trimmer to replace one made by ToiletTree that I had for seven years. This previous one was much more sturdy and had more heft, as it was made of aluminum. However, when it fell down the head with the blade broke, and I was unable to find a replacement online. Which is why I bought this one.
Like my old one, I really like that this one will accept a single AA battery for power. That means it’s easy to recharge, by just exchanging the battery. I don’t like devices with built-in batteries that are not use or replaceable, so a device with a replaceable battery is always a blast for me. I also like the different heads that it comes with which my old trimmer definitely did not come with. As for the level of noise, is pretty much the same compared to my old one, so no change there.
All in all, while I think that this new trimmer is more flimsy, I appreciate the number of heads that it comes with, as well as the fact that it can still be powered with replaceable AA batteries. I cannot speak to durability, as I have only owned it for a few weeks.

Great product, exactly what I was looking for. The instruction booklet is horrible. Small images with no description of each different attachment and what they are used for. I had to go to Norelco’s website to get a slightly better document. Good thing I did, the manual they included in my box was for a different model number.
Anyway, it is worth the price once you find the correct instruction.
